What to Expect
-
He Calls Me Daughter: Healing the Father Wound is a six-week experience designed to help women explore how their relationship with their earthly father may have shaped the way they see themselves, their relationships, and their Heavenly Father.
The group will meet on Tuesday evenings from October 6 through November 10, 2026.
-
Each week, participants will engage with the He Calls Me Daughter curriculum through biblical teaching, personal reflection, and conversation.
The experience is designed to help women recognize what has shaped their understanding of a father’s love and encounter the truth of a Heavenly Father who sees, stays, and calls His daughters by name.
-
The group will be led by Sue Willis and Sarah Kapis in a respectful and encouraging environment. Participants will have opportunities to listen, reflect, and take part in meaningful discussion.
No one will be pressured to share more than she is comfortable sharing.
-
Each participant will receive a workbook to use throughout the six weeks. The workbook will support the weekly teaching and provide space for personal reflection and continued growth between meetings.
-
This group is not about remaining focused on what was missing or imperfect. It is an invitation to experience the peace, belonging, security, and restoration available through a relationship with God as a loving and faithful Father.
-
He Calls Me Daughter is a faith-based small group and is not a replacement for professional counseling, medical care, or mental health treatment.
The curriculum was written by counselors Bill and Tracey Robison.
